MIDDLE SCHOOL
(Ages 10–13 | Based on the Turkish National Curriculum)
At BIS Middle School, we welcome students aged 10 to 13 and offer a strong academic foundation based entirely on the Turkish National Curriculum (MEB). Our learning model nurtures each student's personal growth and academic progress through a supportive, student-centered, and inclusive approach.
Curriculum and Learning Environment
Our academic program is designed around the MEB’s core subjects, reinforced through repetition, integration, and progressive skill development. Students are encouraged to build on their prior knowledge year after year.
In addition to Turkish, Maths, Science, and Social Studies, students also engage in:
-
ICT
-
Visual Arts and Music
-
Physical Education
-
Values Education
Students begin formal foreign language education in English, and from Grade 5 onward may opt to study French or Spanish as a second foreign language.
Learning is enriched through project-based activities, in-class applications, and cross-curricular connections led by our experienced subject teachers.
Learning Support
-
Turkish Academic Support: Small-group pull-out sessions are offered in Turkish, Maths, Science, and Social Studies for students who need additional help.
-
English Language Support: MEB-aligned ESL sessions support language acquisition in small, tailored groups.
