At BIS Primary School, we welcome students aged 6 to 9 and offer a strong academic foundation based entirely on the Turkish National Curriculum (MEB). Our approach respects the individual pace of each child, allowing them to progress confidently both academically and socially without pressure. We support students with a personalised and inclusive learning environment to help them reach their full potential.

Our Curriculum and Learning Environment

Our academic program is built around the MEB’s core learning areas. Subjects are taught with a spiraled and reinforced structure—concepts are introduced and revisited at increasing depth across grade levels. This method ensures long-term retention and meaningful learning.

In addition to core subjects such as Turkish, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, students benefit from Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, ICT and Values Education, taught by expert subject teachers.

From Year 3, students begin to explore a second foreign language, chosen from either French or Spanish, in addition to their continued exposure to English through MEB-supported English language instruction.

Learning Support & ESL

• Turkish Academic Support: Students who need additional help in Turkish, Maths, Science, or Social Studies receive small-group lessons conducted by experienced classroom teachers.

• English Language Support: We offer MEB-aligned English support for students needing help in language development, also delivered in small groups by qualified staff.
